Already down 4-0 to Homer Bailey. 3 errors by the 3rd inning. Buckle up Cubs fans, there are still nearly 150 games left.

It's amazing how bad of baseball they have played these last 6 days. Early losses edge bad luck/bullpen. Now in week 2 its a complete shite show. It's rough man

That's inexcusable for a professional baseball team.

Didn't Longoria have like 3 errors by himself against Toronto a couple of days ago?

But a lot of errors are inexcusable for a pro.

Cost us game 1 in Miami

Also, we don't play our best catcher
Our highest paid player and 4 hole hitter (5 today) may have played past 7th inning twice so far.
Our closer and setup man will compete for worst duo in baseball

It's horrible. I've seen some bad Cubs teams, but this one is the worse by far. I look at the roster an it's what I would expect an August squad to look like when they are out of contention. And now Dempster may go on the DL.

If anybody understands this its the Astros fans. but at least we have some hope since we've gone to full on rebuilding mode.

As for the Cubs, I said the other day that the Cubs roster was made up of a whos who of AAAA players and overpaid veterans assembled around Starlin Castro.

I said from the start of the season that the Cubs would be the worst team in baseball and if not, they'll be damn close.

Good luck to ya'll making it through the year

And seriously, Paul Maholm??? We couldn't do better than that? They were better off keeping Randy Wells in the rotation and saving the money.

Wells didn't give up a run in spring training. Maholm actually didn't do bad. Travis Wood had a terrible spring. My thinking is, they didn't sign Maholm to pitch in triple A, Volstad was a proven starter, and it was between Samardzija, Wells, and Wood. If Dempster goes on the DL, Wells will get called up.

I've been trying to listen to most of the games on MLB At Bat app, and today I just can't do it. Between the rain and this game, I'd probably jump out of a window...

I just looked at some triple A stats so far and the pitching isn't any better. Wells has an ERA over 9.00 so far and everyone else is around 5. The good news is Anthony Rizzo is hitting .390 with 7 bombs. He's going to be good.
