Meh we aren't gonna be bad for long. This isn't an Astros or Royals putrid stretch type thing imo. The stats on some of our young bucks are really really good.

Hope you're right. It's tough to judge young talent when we are getting the shite kicked out of us everyday.

They might go down as the worst team in history, you know Freeman is due for some bullshite injury and they're going to trade Julio. Let them see how bad they can be.

Might as well let him lead this team to the number 1 pick, and then you hire the new guy to lead them into the new stadium.

I don't trust the Braves to fire Fredi when they make the move. Bobby Cox whined and bitched when the Marlins fired Fredi. He should have been more concerned about only being able to win one WS in 10 years with 3 HOF pitchers and some expensive position players.

Very possible unfortunately. The Braves have 3 homers this year, the next closest is Miami with 13. We're also second to last in batting average. Make it stop.

Their key positional prospects are currently raking

Ruiz is 21 and destroying AAA
Albies is 20 and destroying AA
Swanson is overqualified for high-A but of course, destroying

these guys arent bad by any means, but they are more complimentary players than stars in the making.

yea, solid regular who could make a few all star games. Thats valuable given his position, but i dont think we're talking about a carlos correa or troy tulowitzski here

what you think in your head isn't what is actual reality

It's not an insult to call him that. Most teams would take a productive MLB player with all star level talent and not look back.

I think Swanson could be a cornerstone player, but to your point and to the point of this thread, none of the above is going to be a huge power threat.

Best case scenario for Albies is an Altuve type, and Ruiz could be a nice gap power 6th hole hitter type if he pans out.

Braxton Davidson and Austin Riley could provide that power profile down the road but both have some major question marks and may not pan out.

The Braves are a bad offensive team. We knew this going into the year. Did anyone project this bad? Probably not, but it's still April. It will get better.

We will probably land a nice bat in this draft. Have a crazy international signing period, and have another super high pick next year which could also be a bat.

Your farm system doesn't have to be loaded with power bats when you have a ton of arms. There will always be a market for arms. They can always be flipped for bats. But having those core guys like Swanson and Albies up the middle to build around will be a nice thing for sure.
