I think Chicken wants LSU to be their 11th member.

Kosmo, what was the Big Ten's record vs Power 5 teams (including Notre Dame)? You must know. Could it be worse than the 5-12 record I guessed at?

From SprintFun:

Pac 12 8-3
ACC 10-7
SEC 5-6
Big12 4-6
B1G 6-11

The ACC and B1G put on their big boy pants and actually scheduled 6-7 more P5 teams than the SEC, Pac and Big 12.

Wins over Top 25 teams:

Baylor: 2
Ohio State 2
TCU: 1

Best Win:

Baylor: #3 by 3 at home
Ohio State: #8 (climbing) by 12 on the road
TCU: #9 (falling) by 21 at home

Loss:

Baylor: unranked, 5-loss team by 14 on road
Ohio State: unranked, 6-loss team by 14 at home
TCU: #6 by 3 on road

In my opinion, TCU should not be rewarded for having the "best loss," and Baylor easily has a better resume than Ohio State (better win, better loss).

Ding Ding chicken gets it.

TCU over OSU with Baylor getting left out because of their OOC schedule.

Baylor beat #3 and #9 (falling)
tOSU beat #8 (rising) and #13 (falling)

Baylor lost to a 5-loss team. tOSU lost to a 6-loss team.

Baylor > tOSU, and its a no brainer.

Baylor is the only school in the Big 12 who didn't play a Power 5 school in nonconference.

THE

ONLY

ONE

Exacerbating this is the fact that they didn't play a single OOC opponent with a winning record (or even a .500 record)

So you think that TCU beating Minnesota makes up for the fact that they lost to Baylor?

That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

high five!

This was the weakest Big Ten conference in a long time, which makes Ohio State the weakest Power 5 champion...

Why is Michigan State climbing? Nothing that occurred this weekend indicates they deserve to rise in the rankings. They have exactly zero wins against teams in the Top 25. Their best win is against Nebraska who was destroyed by Wisconsin. Beating the likes of Jacksonville State, Eastern Michigan, Wyoming, Purdue, Indiana, Michigan, Maryland, Rutgers and Penn State just doesn't seem deserving of a high ranking.

Because right or wrong, they are a 2 loss team with losses to Oregon and OSU. It's not surprising.

Yea I think we should be in the 11-15 range. No good wins but not really a "bad" loss and we have won by 14+ in nine of the ten other games. The bowl game will be interesting for us. Most likely playing GT

But Marshall is a 1 loss team. By your logic, they deserve to be ahead of Michigan St. Strength of schedule doesn't matter.

They were awful. They keep pumping Minnesota yet all these teams beat Minnesota lol. Wisconsin has no true win over anyone of relevance. They had a huge jump after beating Nebraska down.. Nebraska who fired their coach

I'm not disagreeing, I am just giving reasons why they are where they are deserving or not.

I hate HATE lobbying for Ohio State. But, they are the best team out of the three.

Take a look at out of conference schedules...
-@ 6-5 Navy (W 34-17)
-6-6 Virginia Tech (L 35-21...you must remember that Va Tech had a pick 6 w/ 40 seconds left to play).
-2-7 Kent State (W 66-0)
-9-3 Cincinnati (W 50-28).
_____________________________________

-vs FCS Samford (48-14)
-vs 8-4 Minnesota (30-7)
-@ 1-11 SMU (56-0)

_____________________________________

-vs 1-11 SMU (45-0)
-vs FCS Northwestern State (70-6)
-@ Buffalo (63-21)

Ohio State actually played 3 pretty good teams. Cincinnati, Virginia Tech, and Navy aren't cake walks. They are bowl team with traditionally some good players and coaches. Tommy Tuberville and Frank Beamer are good coaches. They've won BCS games. Ken Niumatalo consistently has Navy at a high level. These schools most certainly aren't FCS schools or 1-11 SMU. Minnesota had a good year, but 1 game at home against Minnesota doesn't add up to Virginia Tech, Cincinnati, and Navy.

I just don't know who has beaten anyone then.

TCU beat Kansas State! Who did KSU beat this year? oh look no one in the top 25. So TCU beat NO ONE EITHER

Baylor beat TCU, but TCU beat no one, so Baylor beat no one!!!!
