Steaks + beer = Hullabaloo

Braves don't add too much to the deal.

It's not "hating" to think the Braves have very little chance to make it to the NLCS. Wild Card looks possible.

World series bro.

You think people thought the giants would win it all last year?

It would be nice, but the Braves couldn't beat Schilling and Johnson back in the day.

Can't see them beating Hammels, Lee, Oswalt and Halladay in a million years.

I hate how the best rotation in the majors since Madduz/Glavine/Smoltz resides in the same division. Even if the Braves can get the wild card, that Philly rotation will be murderous against anyone in a playoff series.

That rotation, if up to its potential, will make up for any perceived lack of an everyday lineup that some pundits are talking about.

Even though I think it's obvious that a healthy Philly lineup (even sans Werth) is damn dangerous.

I really like Minor, so i'm hoping he shows up this spring and makes the rotation.

The Philly series should be brutal this year. Always fun to watch/go to though.

Really looking forward to going to a lot of games this summer.

FWIW the position players who reported today we're Uggla, Prado, Schaefer, and McLouth.

Jurrjens down to 198 from 212 and Moylan down to 225 from 248.

Schaefer also says his wrist his healthy for the first time in two years.

Tuesday Notes:
quote:

“I don’t know what to tell you,” Jones said sarcastically. “Bobby [Cox] hit me third, then they bring in a new guy and people say, ‘Now surely Chipper won’t hit third.’ And then new guy comes in and I’m hitting third, and these people are like, ‘Are they crazy or what? Why would they put the old guy in the 3-hole?’”

Jones smiled and said, “I don’t know. Maybe he still has something to offer.”

quote:

“Yeah, I’m focused on opening day,” he said. “Hopefully the spring plays out and I’m able to do it. I wouldn’t look for me to be in spring training games for the first few days. But we’ll play it by ear. I’m not getting out there till I know I can do everything.

“I need about 40 at-bats [to be ready for the season]…. I would say if I got 30 at-bats left-handed and 12 or 15 at-bats right-handed, I’ll probably be ready to go.”

1 similarity between Cox/F.Gonzalez: No music in clubouse. (Fredi got it from Bobby). 1 difference: #Braves will take more infield in season

Gonzalez said Heyward and/or Mather could be McLouth's backup in CF.

Just as a baseball fan... I hope Chipper can stay healthy for once.

I know, I know... hard to imagine.

Also, really weird seeing Bobby in anything but a Braves uni. Gonna miss that guy.

Noone will be able to say Prado doesn't work hard enough.

DOB has a tweet everyday talking about how he stays at least an hour after all players leave. Workouts were done at 12:30 today for the players and he left at 3

gotta love it
