The ATL Thread: Only 1 game back edition

We have approached the biggest series to date with the Rockies coming to town. We would have the 6th pick of the draft next year if the season ended today but are only 3 games back of last place in the majors, 3 games back of the.......Rockies.
So all 25 guys need to really come together these next few games, come together and completely suck arse, which they are pretty damn good at. So let's all get ready

This team has really turned it on over the last week. Great to see. This series is huge obviously with a chance to potentially hand the Rockies 3 wins.

Oh by the way, Jason Heyward is hitting .290 this year.

Well, as much as I hated to see him go, he wouldn't have been much help to this team. I love the package we got for him. The bridges are probably burnt, but we could always bring him back after this year if Hart has any interest. We will have the money, but I don't see it happening.

Good for him. St Louis tends to bring out the best in a player. If he's smart he'll sign a long term deal there.

I love Shelby, and our return in the Heyward deal but I wouldn't go this far. Winning the CY Young in the NL with guys like Kershaw, Greinke, Scherzer, MadBum, All the Mets studs, Cards arms, Arrieta, etc would be a crazy longshot for Shelby.

I agree it's not likely but the way he's pitched this year has me hopeful that he can at least get his name in the hat when we're a good team again

Braves really making a run for it. Even the Phillies and Marlins are about 3 games away. I'd like them to wrap up the spot about this time next month to avoid the drama at the end.
