Prado or Heyward. Tough to go with one over the other

Agreed. Both had the same exact oWAR this year.

I'll give the edge to Heyward due to his 27/21 season.
I'll go Kimbrel for Cy Young. You would think his FIP would be higher than his 1.01 ERA. Nope, it's 0.78. So nasty.
Prado is pretty easily my MVP.

Hopefully he can put it all together next year and pull his average and OBP up 20 points without losing power.

So our votes went as follows:

quote:

1. Who was the Braves best offensive player this season?

Prado - 3 1/2
Heyward - 2 1/2
Chipper - 1

quote:

2. Who was the Braves Cy Young this season?

Medlen - 5
Kimbrel - 2

quote:

3. Who was the Braves MVP?

Prado - 4
Heyward - 2
Simmons - 1

I'll be sending the awards to Prado and Medlen early on tomorrow morning.

I think Freeman could be our best offensive player next year.

I just think Simmons made a huge difference on this team. Not only with his glove but with his surprising offense

Freddie is clutch. He just needs to develop some consistency and stop digging himself into holes early in the AB.

One surprising thing to me while going over the numbers, Freeman walked more times than Heyward did this year, in 31 less PA.

Kinda crazy knowing the history of the two players.

Oh, he definitely did. If he would have been around more, he would have gotten more votes.

So excited to have him around all year next year.

MVP would be Medlen had he started the season in the rotation

Medlen starts the year in the rotation, he doesn't finish it in it.

Still blows my mind that Nate fricking McLouth is producing in playoff games.
