Instead of trading away what little talent we have in the system for a two month rental, I'd prefer this.
I have no problem with trading away said talent if we can get a guy like Shields who's tied down for a couple of more years.

Shields is more valuable long term than Greinke in a trade.
I think the Braves might have the best chance of getting him of they are willing to part with Bethancourt.
Ultimately I think the Rays trade Wade Davis instead of Shields.

I'm not saying he isn't worth it. I'm saying ATL isn't going to throw out more than they would've thrown out for Greinke to get Shields.

Will be tough for Friday to get many appearances out of the pen for a couple of reasons.
