Regardless of what they decide to do with Wood, sending down Shae would be a mistake IMO. We need another live arm in the bullpen. I could see him settling in nicely as a setup guy.

Well Avilan would be the obvious choice from a performance standpoint (and due to the fact Fredi refuses to use him as a true Loogy). But other than that nobody really deserves to go down.

The problem with that is that Wood would be the only lefty in the pen and he isn't staying there.

One thing I want to know. Fredi has been replacing LaStella with Pena pretty much every night for defense in the late innings, but tonight with a perfect double switch opportunity, he leaves Uggla in.

Yeah, but you could just keep Wood in the Pen till Venters is ready and then send him down to stretch out.
