What a snag by Freeman to save yet another shite play by Garcia

There aren't enough adjectives for bad to appropriately describe the Braves this year

Watched Allard's start tonight.
Crazy the difference between he and Newcomb in watching the two. Allard works ahead in almost every count and works very quickly. Newcomb does neither despite having better stuff.
Got squeezed a little bit tonight and the defense wasn't great but he was still really solid for a 19 y/o making his first AA start.
5 IP, 6 H, 1 IBB, 2 R, 5 SO (4 looking)
Was sitting in the low 90s with very good FB command and the breaking ball was sharp but he wasn't really throwing it for strikes (got squeezed on several curves early in counts). Changeup was fringy.
Only got behind 2-0 to one hitter all night and he hit the get me over 2-0 fastball out of the park in the 5th.
Gave up the other run in the 4th but he should have gotten out of it with no damage if they hadn't bobbled a DP ball with 1 out. Added a couple ticks to the FB and didn't lose any command when he was in trouble in the 4th and got a K and DP ball (following intentional walk) after having runners on 2nd and 3rd and no outs.

Yeah, let's get so far behind at the start of the season that when we do start playing well, it's just to try and have a .500 record. Shitty shitty team so far.

I watched Allard in person tonight and was very impressed for a 19 yo. The control was on point and he was always ahead. Most of the hits he gave up were little seeing eye singles. Im excited about him in the future
