I've said it before but the reviews should be limited to thirty seconds. If they can't be overturned in that period of time, then it's such a close call that I don't really care to continue reviewing it. MLB wants to limit mound visits to thirty seconds and do all kinds of stuff to speed up the game, but then they'll force us to watch an ump wear headphones for five minutes.

We had one extra base hit tonight, a double, and our slugging % went up from .287 to .289

He'll hit third again, I guarantee you that, but I moved him down to let him just get some at-bats, and let him get going.

So Fredi's reason for moving Freeman down was to "let him get some at-bats."

I'm assuming (more like hoping) that he meant he wanted to keep him in the lineup to let him work out of the slump but get him out of the 3rd spot which, theoretically, should be one of your more opportune run-producing spots in the lineup.

If that's not what he meant, then he has pretty much mailed it in.

Agree that he (Gonzales) attempted to state (poorly) that he is moving him down to get at bats in a less critical spot in the order.

So far this season, Freeman costs an average of $772K per hit (11) and $1.7M per RBI (5) based upon his $8.5M salary. Currently, on pace to finish with 42 RBIs ($220K/RBI). In fairness, tough to knock people in if they don't get on base in front of you.

Not what I'm saying at all. What I meant to imply is that he could be one of the few on the trading block later in the year. I know at some point last year the FO said he was part of the future building plan but you gotta figure they'd at least entertain offers as bad as this team is.

It's been 3 weeks bro. Give me an update in June.

Fredi is an idiot. This isn't a secret across the league. You don't bat your best hitter in the 6 hole, slump or not.

I think you are going to find that Freddie's high water mark was three (3) years ago. He will become just another bad contract (I hope not) for the Braves. At least his stats (and baseball is a stats game) confirm a peak in 2013. Yes, there was injury in 2015, but he doesn't look good at the plate this season. I am not sure it matters where he hits at this point.

My previous comments sought to clarify what Fredi (I agree that he is not the best of managers) was trying to communicate.
