The "3-5" argument against Lebron actually works in his favor.

That has to be the most idiotic argument in all of sports right now. "Lebron sucks because he's 3-5 in the finals!!!" By saying that, you are admitting that he's been there 8 fricking times, and 7 in a row. That's damn impressive, regardless of record. I used to be a Lebron hater, but now most of the hate just seems to be ridiculous.

Weird topic, but there are some that point to the Finals record like it's a detriment to his legacy. It's not. Dude has three championships.

His trips to the finals become less impressive by the years as the competition in the East continues to decline. Whatever helps you sleep better though!

while impressive, I don't just bend the knee because of it. The east fricking sucks. There is no legit argument for this to have been possible if the east were as stacked as the west, or if he was playing on a team in the west. He's beat some decent teams, but lets not act like just getting to the finals that often makes you some kind of goat. If that's the case, then James Jones needs to be in this discussion.

It's detrimental to his GOAT status imo, he's a great player and top 3 all time. If he's 6-2 in championship series he's probably looked at as the goat or sitting right beside Jordan.

Its very reasonable to think that the Bulls would have won 7 ships in a row had Jordan not retired.
It's very reasonable to think if James won 75% of his trips to the finals that he would be the goat. Especially in this day and the age of social media

You go head to head with all these teams you mention in the east. 9 out of 10 would likely lose a seven game series with comparable teams in the west.
