I dont know what is going on in here, but whatever it is, I can say unequivocally that LeBron would not have done it as well as MJ

That summer flu is a killer.

At 2 a.m on Tuesday morning, Jordan called his personal trainer to his hotel room, where he was lying in the fetal position and sweating profusely. He hardly had the strength to sit up in bed and was diagnosed with a stomach virus or food poisoning, likely caused by a pizza ordered the night before.[1] The Bulls' trainers told Jordan that there was no way he could play the next day. The Jazz had just won Games 3 and 4 to tie the series at 2 wins a piece, and a third consecutive win would give them the series lead. The Bulls needed their leader for this critical game, and despite his sickness, Jordan got out of bed at 5:50 p.m on Wednesday, just in time for the 7 o'clock tip-off at the Delta Center.[2]

Not really. What's great about the Summer flu is that you show no signs of it until the day it hits you and then it's gone before game 6 or two days, whichever comes first.

You've never had the stomach flu or whatever they call it? It hits you like a freight train and then one or two days later you're back to normal.

I had it back in April. Puked my guts out and felt like I couldn't stand. Then 24 hours later, everything was fine. It went around the office and everybody has the same account of what happened.

But let's not let anything get in the way of conspiracy theories here...

Or lets us not acknowledge that we peons don't have access to countless doctors and IV's on demand. Most of us have to ride it out until is passes.

If you want to argue that he exaggerated the effects it had on him fine. Whatever you want to do.

I was responding to people doubting that a flu could come and go so suddenly when it most definitely can. And saying you can't have the flu in the summer is even more ridiculous

I will say that the doctors answer to the stomach flu is to pretty much ride it out no matter how much money you have. They can lessen the side effects but that's about it.

No I was agreeing with you. Just adding that people are saying the common person has flu for a couple days, and somehow MJ miraculously got over it in 6hrs. All in an attempt to discredit the official story and claim he was hung over. Which honestly I have never seen anyone look that bad from a hangover, especially 6 hours after.

Agreed

Exactly. Which is what they did, even if it wasn't flu and food poisoning like most of the reports show.

Personal trainer + Jordan...like they're going to be honest with the media.

We're talking about Jordan here. The guy who controlled everything about his image...

Hell he concealed his cheating for all of the 90's and most of his gambling until his friend ratted him out in the above book.

So no, you're not going to find a Wikipedia page where Jordan says he was up all night gambling and felt like crap...and when you're hungover and tired it feels like "flu-like symptoms" and when you want to vomit from dehydration and too much booze it feels like "the stomach flu."

Q: Jordan actually being hungover from late night partying. Seeing how he was able to perform at such a high level, would the hangover be more likely the case?

Doctor: Both scenarios would have left him with an upset stomach, possibly vomiting and dehydrated (alcohol is dehydrating because it is a diuretic, making the drinker urinate more, thus drying out the body). I don’t think one is more likely than the other just based on his performance.

It was surprising that he didn’t have to vomit or run to the bathroom at some point during the game [if it was food poisoning or stomach flu.]

Has it been mentioned yet that he got his father killed because of his gambling debts?

Jordan probably didn't have the flu but I can believe that some fine Utah citizen hooked him up with some pepperoni and Visine pizza.

So you are basing this on what amount to an info wars type website full of conspiracy theories. Probably not even that.
