We're about to have another miserable catch/no catch review.
I got a feeling they're gonna call this incomplete instead of catch and fumble.

Jesus. That was clearly a catch and a strip fumble.
This bullshite about "going to ground" is such nonsense.

Lol, taunting penalty for a finger wave. No Fun League is absurd.

Yeah I really don't understand what is a catch anymore. That was clearly a catch then fumble in my opinion.

Hopkins caught that touchdown pass too.
Refs said incomplete and the call stands.
Why does it stand? Call stands means there isn't enough video evidence. What more video evidence do they need? It was clear as day what happened.
Either confirm the call or overturn the call. In that situation, "incomplete video evidence" is nonsense. The video showed everything clear as day.
That was a case of the refs being afraid to make a call and get criticized for it. So they just said "call stands".

Completely agree with all this.
One of the few times I've ever agreed with something Les Miles said was when he basically echoed the same sentiments a couple years ago.
We have multiple different HD angles that we can rewind, slow-mo, loop, all sorts of stuff, yet when the call is close we error on the side of the guy who had a single split second vantage of the play? It's beyond idiotic.
All things are judgement calls to an extend. Why do we trust the judgement of someone who saw it once from a random angle vs someone who saw it a thousand times from multiple angles?
It's beyond idiotic.

I agree with you guys. I've wanted for the officials to be able to effectively say they don't know what happened..maybe throw a different colored flag. We have replay and the NFL has commercials so just let them send it to review without any "called on the field" bias. If video is inconclusive then side toward incomplete, player down, etc. there's no way that refs eyes were good enough to both A) determine that he had possession of the ball while B) his feet or knee were in bounds. It's not like baseball where you can listen for the pop of the glove while watching the runners foot hit the bag.
