I've seen Katy, haven't seen Trinity but see there stats. Idk what Katy game you could have seen this year to believe that anyone is a 2td fav over them.

You really need to watch Trinity before commenting. I watched Trinity hang 80 on Shiloh Christian, a perennial nationally ranked program that has beaten Evangel multiple times.

I dont see anyone in the state of Texas coming within 20 pts of Trinity. They have 5 backs who all average over 10 yards per carry. You absolutely have to put 9 in the box to even compete, but when you do they throw it to Brandon Carter who is an OU commit and is probably one of the 3 best athletes in Texas.I havent seen Katy yet this year but I am familiar with the way they play and the type of kids they have. If history serves, Trinity would roll all over Katy

What makes you say this?

Katy is one of the best coached teams in the country which leads me to further believe they would not get rolled by anyone. They never have top talent but win year after year. Trinity will have their hands full against Allen in the next round. Sucks for both schools they have to play so early. I don't see anyone on Katy's side giving them any competition until the reach the finals so hopefully both get there in 4 games.

I know this is not about the smaller schools, but who made the SPC Championship?

Played at Kinakid for a year so just wondering.

History serves meaning if this Katy team is like the Katy teams of the past 10 years. When I say this it is not at all meant to be a slight to Katy. The awesome power of Trinity is just unreal for a high school. Having the circumstances of coaching in Trinity's district, I have seen (repeatedly) all 10 of their games and they are the most violent, attacking and disciplined team I have ever seen.

I have read a couple of different playoff predictions and some have Katy winning while others have Trinity, but every one i've seen has them playing in the finals

Trinity has a much tougher road to the finals than Katy which may hurt them with fatigue coming into the championship

Yeah I would really like to see Katy vs Trinity. Trinity hasnt had to play a full game yet this year so they are rested (same can be said for Katy). Trinity plays Allen on Saturday in Cowboy stadium and that will be a good one.

Ya it will. Katy got a good test in their final game of the season agqainst Cinco Ranch but nothing like they will see from your guys. Cinco was 9-0 going into the game and were playing for the district title before getting blasted 56-3 by Katy. I can't see anyone giving them a game till they meet in the finals but we'll see.

Found this on Katy RB Donovonn Young

Kid is a beast! The more you look at the Katy vs Trinity match up the more I want to see this game. Both offenses are ridiculous but what I want to see is the match up of Carter (Trinity WR) and Atwood (Katy DB) and the Katy D against Trinity Offense in general. Two top 5 nationally ranked teams on the biggest stage in high school football will be awesome. Hope it happens!

Yeah, I stand corrected. I knew Allen was really good, but they were really really good. Too bad that it was a 2nd round match.

Allen is a great team! It does seem like a waste that they played in the second round but i'm telling you, Trinity will have a tougher match in the finals. Katy has looked like a machine in their first two games. They played terrible in the first half against Bellaire and came out on a path of destruction in the 2nd. I'm gonna go watch the North Shore game next week but the way they are playing right now, I expect the score to be worse than when they met week one and Katy rolled 44-6.

I haven't been this excited about a Texas state final ever. Game is gonna be awesome as long as both take care of business along the way.
