God, is there another team that has spent more money going after everyone else's backups?

28TD/2INT

He's not hanging up his boots for a couple of years, are they going to pay Jimmy G the big bucks next year? No

Trade him while he's got value

He will walk after 2017, though. 2017 is the last year of his rookie deal. If there is interest in JG to go out somewhere and start, which there is, he will be able to get more money on the open market than the Patriots will be willing to give (because they still have Brady). So the Patriots are better off trading him now and getting something in return.

Pats can cut Brady after 2017 and tag Jimmy

Exactly. Pats are sitting pretty, I think a few teams will get into a bidding war for Jimmy.

Did the Texans learn nothing already going after a backup with a small sample size?

Just can't see Belichick trading Jimmy G to a team that good in his own conference.

If Houston has a legit QB, they're a SB team. I could see him getting traded to some her like Chicago or San Francisco... Even that would be a stretch though... I think Jimmy doesnt get traded at all.

Believe it or not there's many people throwing that out there. It's crazy.

I've also heard rumblings of AZ being in talks to trade for Jimmy.

We need a groomed replacement for Palmer after next year, but I've read that the Pats want a 1st round pick. That's too steep for me.

Az can have brady to start 2017.

NE gets tm7 and #1s 2017 & 2018 and a 6 in 2017. That should do it.

Bill will manage with brisset and garapolo. #1 this year is a TE. Bill will use the 6 to pick up the mvp of d 2. Dude will backup the slot, come in on nickel d to spell tm7 and handle ko returns.
