Borg below Nadal? What a joke.
No one has come close to the level of domination on two polar opposite surfaces like Borg. The man won 5 championships each wielding a heavy old school wooden racquet when French Clay was slow as hell and Wimbledon was fast as lightning, unlike Nadal's times when both behave like mirror images. The players these days are lucky to have experienced the homogenisation of playing surfaces.
And if the list was compiled on basis of utter dominance over other players in the tour, no one comes close to Graf's level of play in 1987-1989.

Sampras and Fed should be one and two

Newcombe should be higher too

Sampras was a complete scrub on clay but then again, Nadal is terrible on indoor hard courts and they have him ranked at six.

It's hard to wrap your head around that list because it's mixed...
While Graf was the most dominant I've seen...living through that time following tennis...it's hard to reconcile this disparity based on talent...
3 - Steffi Graf, GER
19 - Monica Seles, USA
Graf leads Seles 10-5 in wins but Monica started to get to her when it mattered (4 of Monica's 5 wins were in Grand Slams)...
She was like Nadal to Federer if Nadal suddenly was stabbed...like Federer, Graf had no great rival until Seles started to beat her in Grand Slams...Graf owned Novotna and Sabatini and Navratilova was done.
Going by Stats:
Seles - 13 finals (9 titles, 4 runner-ups
Graf - 31 finals (22 titles, 9 runner-ups)
Graf is obviously heads and shoulders if the list is a "career achievement greatest of all time" list...but if it's based on pure talent...Seles had a short window like Mac where she was fantastic and equal on talent to some degree.

Roddick really isn't that good. He seems better because American competition isn't anywhere near the past levels.

This is an ABSOLUTE JOKE.People don't have a CLUE what JOHN MAC did for Tennis in this country.
I have a clue. And I would still rank Agassi over Johnny Mac. Agassi won every major, a gold medal, and an ATP world tour final.
Johnny Mac won three Wimbledons and four US Opens.
I like both guys, but I have to give Agassi the nod historically.

Agassi was good but not awesome? the guy won 8 grand slam titles and is considered the greatest returner of serve ever.
and Agassi hated tennis
More than that. Agassi is considered the greatest ball striker in the history of the game.

Also, Arthur Ashe only at 28? I have no idea of his actual tennis record but perhaps today he is more fondly remembered than his game actually was? Who knows.
He is too high at 28. Putting him in front of Pancho Gonzales is just silly.

The thing about Agassi is that he flaked out for a good chunk of his prime and won several slams against weak draws during the transition era. Connors and Lendl were much more accomplished tennis players.
Lendl's entire career was in a transition era. Connors was third best among his peers.
I put Agassi in front of both of them.

Good thing there is only one event of significance on indoor hard courts.

He never won the US Open. And as soon as Johnny Mac started whupping that arse, he quit.

Yes, Aggasi won the career slam, but his competition, especially on clay, was very weak compared to what McEnroe faced
Elaborate.

I'm a huge Agassi fanboy, but I kinda agree with this. Agassi's legacy is part his aura/appearance and part his longevity. Had he not gone on his epic run late no one would be talking about him the way they do now.
Granted it's arguably one of the most impressive feats in tennis history (IMO), but it goes to show how lazy he was throughout parts of his career.
He was lazy through parts of his career. But his success at the end when he got his shite together is, as you said, a very impressive feat. Johnny Mac too time away from tennis and was never able to get back to form. Agassi was.
