West Monroe boys lead TCU to the win.

Baylor by 2 touchdowns.

This thread will decide who I bet on

As long as TCU can continue playing defense like they did in the second half of the Oklahoma game, I'll take them. The refs took a touchdown for TCU off the board in that game, and I really like how Boykin looks this year.

Tcu's pass defense gave up big play after big play to Trevor Knight and Shepard. I wouldn't say the pass D was all that impressive.
With that being said, everything looks like a spot on analysis.
Boykin made great quick decisions most of a the game. A few passes were questionable. I would feel more comfortable with Tcu if they didn't rely on him for their run game as well.

Texas has one of the best defenses in CFB.
They are #5 in the nation in pass defense and played well last week. Petty was off last week, missing several wide open receivers. Toads are ripe for a big letdown after their big home win. Baylor will win by about 7 at home.

TCU. Baylor is a fraud and the horned frogs have the best defense in the Big 12. Offense sells tickets, defense wins championships.

Boykin is getting better as a QB. He throws a nice deep ball. He does need to improve the accuracy of his shorter throws. He is a QB in a WR's body and is very difficult to pressure.
TCU needs to cut down on the turnovers and penalties (although I watched the OU game and some of the penalties were questionable - Big 12 OU bias).
And TCU OLB #47 Paul Dawson is a beast!
I think TCU pulls off a close one if they don't lose the turnover battle.

Texas hung with Baylor for most of their game
this is a crock of shite. i seriously think people get confused with a 60 minute smack down that is kinda low scoring. people were talking about how memphis and ole miss played a close game. it was 24-3! that's an arse beating. baylor beat texas 28-7 and they were up 28-0. i dont really care what anyone says, baylor shite all over them. games are 60 minutes long. not 15, 30, or 45.

hmmm, idk, total yards were almost identical. biggest difference was the three Texas turnovers. Score was 28-7 but it felt much closer. Just my two pennies

but that's just like saying that the biggest difference was that baylor was much better. turnovers are how you win games.

Turnovers can also be flukey mate

I don't know much about either team...I do know that TCU's win last week was a more emotional game for them. I think they come out a little sluggish against Baylor. If the game is at Baylor the bears win, if it's at TCU the frogs win late.

So the Baylor turnovers didn't matter then?
Posted on 10/9/14 at 8:25 am to rocket31
they can be, i agree. im just saying if you lose 28-7 and lost the turnover battle 3-0, you got your arse kicked IMO. there was no fluke loss there, you got smashed.
with that said, im not trying to praise baylor or anything since texas appears to be pretty bad.

It's at BU's McLane Stadium. BU won last year at TCU.

Give me Baylor at home. TCU played a physical, exhausting contest last week against OU. It's hard for 18-22 year olds to get up for that in back-to-back weeks. I can see Baylor slipping up at West Virginia next week, allowing OU to get back into the Big 12 race.

Over 55% of Texas offensive yards came on 2 drives. One that ended in a fumble and the other one was at the end of the game with Baylor up 28-0

This is a game decided by 7 or less
A close game favors TCU. They are battle tested.
