With the nationally hated Seahawks vs. the ball deflating Patriots, will this be the first SB since 2009 not to crack 100M viewers?

2015: ????
2014: 111.5
2013: 108.4
2012: 111.3
2011: 111.0
2010: 106.5
2009: 98.7

I'd think this would be a pretty popular SB. The Pats have a huge following and there are a lot of bandwagon Seahawks fans.

Funny, the last time I didnt watch the Super Bowl was 2009.

That was a terrible matchup- Cardinals and Steelers.

I just can't see anyone who isn't already a Seahawk for Patriot fan pulling for either of these two teams.

the ratings for this year's Super bowl are going to be absurd. You can't be serious with this OP.

Obviously the game should have been Green Bay-New England. That would have drawn a ton

Rodgers vs. Brady

Now we get to listen to Mr. Politician Wilson, Sherman act a fool, Lynch give one-word answers and Pete Carroll mercifully smack gum during pressers

I think this has all the earmarks of a great Super Bowl. It's the two best teams, both trying to stamps themselves as one of the greatest teams ever (though the Belichek Pats are already on the list).

If anything, I think this will be the highest rated of the past 5 years. And outside of whiny Saints fans, the Seahawks are pretty nationally popular. Sherman has the "keepin it real" crowd, Beastmode is a walking internet meme, and your dad probably loves the way Russell Wilson plays the game.

You are talking about a nation that watches honey boo-boo and follows Kim Kardashian.

If anything, the Super Bowl will set a viewership record because of the points you made.

No way.

I hate them both, but this is the most compelling matchup that could have been.

As a Seahawks season ticket holder since 2006, I can tell you that Seahawks fans are easily top 5 during that entire duration.
