Steelers have more true fans but the Pats have more bandwagon Facebook background fans than Bama.

I'm not really sure where all of the Steelers fans come from because Pittsburgh isn't that big, but you're right. They're everywhere. That Seahawks/Steelers Super Bowl was 90% Pittsburgh fans. They bring more fans to road games than ahy other team in the league (no data, but I do watch games). When I lived in Norfolk, the bars were packed on Sundays with Steelers and Giants fans even though the Redskins, Ravens, and Panthers were all much closer.

I don't know how close you were to the base, but Norfolk usually isn't a great indicator of things like that.

I live in Richmond and never really see Steelers fans anywhere, at least not more than a couple. About 75-80% Redskins.

I was there because of the base

My first apartment was near ODU and my second one was near downtown Va Beach.

Even though Norfolk was filled with people from all over the country, Steelers and Giants jerseys were the majority of most of the bars in the area on Sunday afternoons.

I gotcha. I sort of figured based on your story. The resident population down there is from all over, obviously. Makes sense that there'd be a shite ton of Steelers fans.

Steelers are very national, and the Giants are New York's team, so I could see how that would be the case.

This is the part I've never figured out. Pittsburgh isn't all that big. I know the steel mills shut down and they lost a lot of their population because of it, but that doesn't explain the staggering number of fans everywhere.

I want to see Green Bay or Dallas against New England.

Not really a match up that would bother me too much.

Steelers would outdraw the Pats. They just would.

They are everywhere from Alaska to Naples, Florida.

Pairing the Bandwagon legion in their first SB in eons with the Steelers would outdraw the Pats
...And bring together 3 things.
...

The Steelers massive fanbase and historic influence and decades of glory which the Pats don't have...

The lock of a new champ. People are tired of the incumbents, the establishment, Brady is Hillary - scandals and antipathy.

Member berries...The year of member berries...

Two massive fanbases that defined American football before it Goodelled.

A rematch from the 90s for Steeler fans.

A rematch from the 70s for Cowboys fans.

People are in the mood to remember how good football once was...Cowboys/Steelers is MAGA...So to speak for the average fan.

Highest Rated: Cowboys / Patriots. This is obvious, IMO.

Least Wanted: Texans vs Seahawks. SnoozerBowl.

Most Wanted: Raiders vs Anyone. It'd be weird if they won a SB with McGloin as QB, but I'll take weird over 6+ months of disappointment.

Pats v. Cowboys first choice.

Would've also been happy with Raiders v. Cowboys but that's pretty obviously not gonna happen now...

Least: Texans v. Falcons might not even catch me watching the kick off...

Looking at what's left, the absolute worst possible matchup would be Falcons/Chiefs

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a controversial call that goes against Atlanta in a close game next week.

Highest Rating: Chiefs vs Packers. Can be hyped as a SB1 rematch.

Matchup I want least. Pats** vs Failcons. I hate both teams.

Matchup I want most: Today's winners.

Highest ranked: Dal/NE (but a GB/NE wouldn't be too far behind)

Most want: GB/NE

Least want: Dal/NE

Dallas couldn't stop the Steelers offense either.
The only two teams to beat the Steelers at Heinz Field were Dallas and New England. I'll take our chances on a "neutral" field.

Falcons vs. Patriots

Falcons offense looked very good against a good Seattle defense.

Patriots put 34 puts on the board against the best defense in the NFL. And Tom Brady had an off day. If they can do that they go to the Super Bowl.
