Wow. Most definitely not a catch. Somewhere Calvin Johnson is shaking his head.

Unreal. NFL is ridiculous today. Officiating is an absolute joke.

I don't think that's a catch either.

How in the hell is that a catch?

Jordy Nelson didn't even think it was a catch. Thus why he clapped his hands in anger when he lost control of it. Thus why he was laughing with a dumbfounded look on his face when they called it a touchdown

If that was in the field of play they would have said that he didn't make "football move"

The end zone is so mysterious and magical...
1. Some catches are easier to be catches than on regular field
2. Crossing the plane while in possession is immediate touchdown, regardless of if possession is maintained until down, but if you catch it in the end zone, while going to the ground, the magic rules of immediate touchdown don't apply and you must maintain possession until tou come to a complete stop.
3. Fumbling into the end zone and then out of bounds gives the other team the ball for some reason.

I don't know the pro/college differences or what is what on catches anymore. Some dude in a big college game yesterday had two feet down on a pick in the end zone, possessed it clearly, but the ball popped out five seconds later when he went to the ground, so it = incompletion. Yet, another guy will trap a catch on the ground with the nose of the ball and that's fine. Pros are even more convoluted.

It was not a catch. He never secured or tucked the ball. He didn't even get his 2nd foot down, before it was knocked down. To quote the NFL rulebook..
"3.maintains control of the ball after (a) and (b) have been fulfilled, until he has the ball long enough to clearly become a runner. A player has the ball long enough to become a runner when, after his second foot is on the ground, he is capable of avoiding or warding off impending contact of an opponent, tucking the ball away, turning up field, or taking additional steps "
