When Dallas Cowboys players wanted to wear a patch honoring Texas cops being killed, the NFL said no. When Tebou wanted to wear a patch showing support for women who don't abort babies, the NFL said no.

But when NFL players want to show their disgust with our country and its policies towards black communities, the NFL okay-ed it. No one should get special privileges based on their political views.

Breaking News! People aren't paying for football games to see our political views, they're doing so to escape the division and our toxic politics.

Everyone should be disgusted with the country. Unless you're a very fine person.

Because Trump had to open his mouth and call players SOBs and be butt hurt over athletes not wanting to visit the white house. He acted like a petty 12 year old girl like he always does and caused this mess. Why is this so hard to understand? If people like Brady and Brees, who are no doubt republicans, said what Trump said was ridiculous why can't conservatives just admit that Trump is out of line? We went from a handful of players kneeling to everyone kneeling, gee I frickin wonder why. Maybe it's because of him.

Everyone should be disgusted with the politics coming from both sides, that includes the people players voted for. Everything politics invades it destroys.

What if white players said they didn't want to visit Obama when he was in office. What would they be called? I'll give you one guess. Trump isn't supposed to speak about sports or their players and he's supposed to stick to politics but athletes are allowed to spew their views on politics and the President and its ok. Pot meet kettle.

Wearing a patch on the uniform is different from kneeling or whatever. Grow up.

Who gives a shite? This is all slight of hand that distracts from important matters.

It really is pathetic. I usually stay out of this kind of stuff but I'm done with the NFL. A game shouldn't come before Old Glory.

Kneeling in response to the president effectively watered down/took the attention off of whatever the kneeling protest was for in the first place. Now they just did it to spite the president instead of for a cause.

Then again I'm not really on social media much and don't watch the MSM so I could be off base.

Don't be so naive. What happened Sunday had nothing to do withe sports, it was extremely political and was shite dump on our flag and the current president. Veterans don't do that, except for John Kerry.

He wants to silence those paying to see the game, not the players.

Except that I don't recall white players not going to the WH. I don't say it didn't happen, just that I don't recall it. I don't recall any players, black or white, having a problem with Obama.

The black players not going to the WH is because of the perceived impression, true or false, that Trump is not supporting the black players, and that he is racially motivated. So when he called the players SOB's, and called for them to be "fired", the players are going to kneel just to spite him.

I bet you stand at home in your living room when they're singing the song? Or do you sit there and eat your cheetos like the rest of us?

Also, displays of patriotism is a relatively new practice, funded by the military. It's well documented and easy to google. So what your essentially getting all worked up over is a WAY over-produced propaganda machine.

Just like with the statues, no one really cares about the "values" that they perceive as being violated. They're just butt-hurt that black people are getting what they want

If you believe your last sentence, you should stop eating the cheetos... besides making you fat, they're making you dumb too
