Earlier this morning, Mets billionaire owner Cohen publicly bashed Steven Matz's agent after Matz signed with the Cards over the Mets.

Fans of this kind of fan interaction/openness from the front office? Personally, I love it (and I'm a Mets fan). I like the edgy F you or get on attitude. Twitter is a soft place, but the ppl that cry about it or take it too seriously are miserable

Twitter is like trying to read the scribblings on the neighboring truck stop bathroom stall through the glory hole opening in the stall you're in.

Twitter has made Planet Earth a far worse place.

You can’t take a sports agent (or really anyone) at their word

Twitter hasn't changed people's sentiments. Twitter has just provided an open platform to say what is usually said at the dinner table or amongst close company.

You mean the same Steve Cohen that was convicted of market manipulation and fraud?

And the overly sensitive and easily offended used to be ridiculed for their shite opinions and feelings at the dinner table or amongst friends. Now the freaks can all band together and make it seem like a large portion of people believe the BS they do and influence companies and other decision makers. Normal people avoiding spewing their opinions on Twitter just makes the disconnect even worse.

Mostly agree with the exception of the total anonymity of most people on it...which has

What used to be something stupid said within a group of friends around a dinner table can now be seen by millions in a matter of hours. That's not a net positive.

Seems immature and unprofessional to air out his beef with this agent on Twitter

What else would we expect from the Mets?

Ive always equated social media in general to scribblings on a bathroom stall. In the 90’s and early 00’s there was an understanding that things written most places on the internet were inherently irrelevant. There wasn’t an issue until a new generation of people flooded the internet and were stupid enough to think those scribblings mattered.
