Well using sack totals when comparing a stationary QB vs a mobile QB is ignorance. A mobile QB will get out of the pocket and try to do more but it will lead to higher sack totals. We've seen that with Russell Wilson, RGIII, etc.... seems mobile QB's are always in the top 10 in sacks.

Manning on the other hand would try to get it away quickly which probably resulted in some interceptions. so each has a fault but I would prefer a sack vs an int.

The numbers really don't matter without context anyway. Are you, at the very least, in agreement that the game has changed significantly since then? I won't throw shite at you for rooting for a college team I don't like or rooting for a pro team that keeps their Steelers gear at bay just in case (subtle jab). Don't you think posting their ranks in comparison to the rest of their respective peers would be a better way to portray "greatness," rather than just posting totals?

ETA: A great example would be Russell Wilson(1 year less in the league.) He would have to have some pretty crappy stats this season to match Newton's "Greatness"
317/683 46.4%
11 TDs 30 INTs (LOL)

As for rushing, Cam averages 3 yard more per game and destroys Wilson in rushing TDs.

Cam is the most prolific QB ever when it comes to Rushing TDs. That is literally the only thing.

I like Cam alot. But the Auburn posters on this board make liking him insufferable.

He's improved a great deal passing since he came into the league, and last year was an elite passer. I don't think it's a stretch to think he can have a long career as a good passing QB.

Maybe by carolina's standards... But if cam had to run an offense like green bay's or new england's he'd fail miserably... I would not consider him an elite QB because of the style of offense that he runs

I'm not knocking him, it's just that he doesn't have to make reads like most QBs and stand in the pocket.. If the first guy and the second guy isn't open, all he has to do is run... There's nothing wrong with that but IMO that excludes him from being and 'elite' passer
