Folks in these parts were simply ecstatic that the Gamecocks made the tourney.

Martin is playing with house money now.

Ironic that this is a man getting wealthy off modern day slavery, or that's what we've been told it is.

While this is all well and good and puts a good light on USC's fanbase. Let's not ignore the fact that winning is the ultimate reason that he's receiving positive reviews. For the most part, winning can make people forget some of their personal issues.

They definitely didn't win to start off with though. I think his point is that they supported him from the start.

The Cubans might know a thing or two about actual fascists, hence why the majority of them in Florida voter for Trump.

But all the white liberals who's mom and dad pay for everything think communism is cool or something because they got beat up by some kid in high school who was smarter or more athletic than them

Let's be frank, USC fans probably didn't give a shite about basketball when Martin was originally hired. He made them care because people pay attention winning.

Considering that:

1) USCe is currently more of a baseball school.

2) Football is far behind Clemson at the moment.

3) Women's BB is pretty solid ... if not for UConn in the way.

4) Had not made NCAA tourney since 1973 since Alex fricken English was a Gamecock ... and only had 1 tourney win.

5) Should have made it last year.

6) Just beat Duke to make Sweet 16.

He's got some grace time ... even if USCe falls off and has a couple of bad years...personally, I see no reason why they would not continue to be a respectable team.

Confederacy lost a traitorous war. Even putting slavery aside, its heritage is a shitty one.

Uh no. Our attendance was terrible after we bottomed out under Horn and the first rough years under Martin. But you don't build an 18,000 seat arena in 2002 to replace a 12,000 seat arena unless you care about the sport.
