I read a piece on Theo a few years back; the man is a crazy numbers guy. He combs his minor league daily, analyzing each player. If you're in his farm system, he knows your stats. Amazing guy.

He will be up in September this year for sure, maybe sooner if another starter goes down.

Anyone read the Cubs season preview in Baseball Prospectus?

On the plus side, Theo has rebuilt the farm system and several of those prospects will be arriving over the next 1-3 years.

On the negative side, he fired his handpicked manager after 2 seasons for "communication issues". The manager said he felt blindsided. Castro and Rizzo took steps back last year, not that you can blame Theo for that. But it has made some Cubs fans a little anxious.

I say give Theo another 2-3 years and they should be a major power every year in the NL Central.
