Les what keeps me up at night, as someone who deeply cares for the Cubs faithful, is if Lester has another year like 2012. If I'm Maddon I'm feeling okay having him as a guy, but is he the guy? He benefited from an abnormally low BABIP last year, which is fine, but that inflated his numbers. Now we are seeing some reversion to the mean, or worse.

Kuechel has a CY award and is likely to finish top 3 this year.

I'd be way more worries if I was the Cardinals or Brewers right now. It's hard for the Cubs to get worst than this once they figure out some things.

But Theo and Joe are the GOAT - at least according to ESPN which was wall to wall Cubbies last season.

i think when you call it and say the guy is very good but doesnt have ace stuff coming of a cy young year, and he goes out the next year to the tune of a 4.55 ERA, well sorry ducky i dont think you are to sit here and tell me that i am wrong.

Yeah 104 wins and a World Series is a fluke.

I get the second part about complacency, but saying a team won in baseball because of a fluke and wasn't that good is pretty fricking stupid.

Don't forget about the 97 wins and NLCS appearance in 2015. I'm sure that was a fluke too.

This team right now has no fire, and it looks like they've been reading their own press clippings. It's almost like they think they have an automatic bid to playoffs.

their pitching and defense was going to regress, and it has.

But they have the prospects to get them a top 3 pitcher or 2.

They have to get fatboy out of LF, he's not a LF, he should be dealt as part of a package for pitching.

They get themselves some starting pitching they will be perfectly fine, and win the division.

If your going to slump, better it be now, than in September entering October.

Right now Schwarber's problem is his bat not his glove. If he hits like he should you can justify slightly below average D in LF

im not anti houston. Just unbiased. Ive almost been spot on about the Astros the last 5-7 years

2013:
they have one of the 5-6 worst farm systems in baseball

The system lacks difference makers, esp on the mound...shite your best prospect is a drug user.

2015:

On a claim that the Astros will be the 2015 AL West winners:
tickfawtiger wanted me to just say you speed Disastros wrong

2016:
I picked them to represent the AL in the WS
