Dude Stanford pushed them around and would've won the game if not for their freshman kicker. LSU was a superior version of Stanford. It would've been a slaughter, IMO.

There is NO sure thing that LSU beats Okie St. ... They could score A TON of points....

LSU would have done the same the thing they did against Oregon and WVU. That secondary was so damn good. Teams couldn't throw downfield on them at all. I remember Stat going around that they had more ints then catches on attempts over 15 yards

I remember people here complaining about the rematch too. I argued too, that LSU and Alabama were the best teams in college football that year. I don't care if they were from the same conference. Both still deserved to play for the title that year. Yes, I think LSU would have easily beaten Oklahoma St. that year. The 9-6 OT slugfest at Alabama earlier that year was one of the greatest defensive games I've ever seen. I expected a much more competitive title game that year.

It does suck that that team's incredible accomplishments are basically lost in history.

Like Bama this year

A different word may be in order there.

Stanford had Andrew Luck and LSU had Jordan Jefferson.

Also Gundy would have came up with a game plan to keep it close, which it would have been IMO.

LSU and Alabama were the best teams in college football that yea

No way to know for sure without settling it on the field.

Remember if the BCS existed Alabama and Florida State would have played for the title instead of Ohio State and Oregon.

Alabama was considered by many to be unbeatable this year.

Having two teams play for a national title from the same conference is a shame. Were they the best team, probably, but no way to know without settling it on the field.
