meet Jameson Fisher batting .521 with a .626 OBP, leads nation in both categories. He also has 8 home runs, the Southeastern lions have a pretty good team this year. Would like to see them end up in a regional not with LSU so I could actually cheer for them.

Also 11-1 in conference and just had a long winning streak broken up Friday by Nicholls. Turned around and took the next two to start a new streak.

Damn, those numbers are Robin Ventura-ish college stats. Ventura was a hitting machine at Okie st.

most ridiculous numbers I can remember was Rickie Weeks. He did play at Southern, but he batted .473 for his CAREER (an NCAA record). His sophomore season he batted .495 with 20 home runs.

Pete Incaviglia slugged 1.140 one year for Oklahoma State.

1985 - .464/.594/1.140 (1.734) w/ 48 HR and 143 RBI in 75 games.

while it's still an impressive feat, those numbers would look much different in today's game...

Maineri passed because ZVR incident. Brother caught for southeastern for 2 years after being an all American at lsue. Brother is now assistant at Zachary. Fisher has a beautiful swing from the left side. Think he hit .550 his senior year in hs.

Fisher is playing 1B this year. His replacement is another Zachary high player Evan Pace. Pace got his first collegiate hit last week, a grand slam.

I was pissed when cpm didn't offer this kid after high school. I still wish we would have. I think even in sec play he would hit .315 8 hrs 55 rbis for a season. That's how good of a hitter he is.
