Five players--Max Redfield, Ashton White, Kevin Stepherson, Te'Von Coney and Dexter Williams--were arrested Friday night around 10pm in Fulton County and facing a misdemeanor charge for possession of marijuana. Redfield, Stepherson Jr., and Williams face an additional charge for possession of a handgun without a license. Early Saturday morning, police arrested cornerback Devin Butler, on a preliminary charge of battery on a police officer.

Is that even a charge in states like LA, MS, AL?

Just looked it up, looks like in Indiana you must have a license to carry a handgun.

Not that way at all in Ohio.

Kelly got a student killed. This should be a walk in the park.

What a terrible hand these poor kids were dealt that the arrests didn't occur in Monroe, LA. #airconditioning

He had a weapon on him, concealed. IN requires a concealed carry license for that. He didn't have one.

To carry a handgun in Indiana even openly or in your car, you need a license apparently.

It doesn't have to be concealed to be illegal.

If they'd gotten their shite together and did this a couple weeks ago, they could've made a big push for the Fulmer Cup.

Dawg you are missing a key element in this story.

ND plays Tex first game. Nothing pleases me more than seeing Tex take its lumps. If those guys are all suspended for game 1, Tex may win.

Most of those guys weren't going to play against UT anyway. I think Redfield is the only projected starter, and he's been a huge disappointment up to this point. I think they'll be fine.

Maybe they'll sort this all out with a team vote?
