Get rid of spot foul penalties in the NFL. 50 yard pi penalties are garbage.

Eliminate the "automatic 1st down" on the illegal contact beyond 5 yards penalty.
Too many "bail out" calls (esp. late in the game) on 3rd / 4th down and 10+ yards.

I've gone back and forth a million times on this, and I don't think I'll ever stop. The only way to really solve it would be to get rid of the forward pass.

And no this doesn't make the game longer. There's still only 2 coaches challenges. If he wants to burn that challenge on a PI call or a holding call, then let him.
