Should NFL kickers have a 3-strike rule?

Both the Seahawks and Cardinals kickers last night were 110% responsible for their teams not winning. Single handedly led their team to not winning the game. It's not fair that they are out there missing kicks and costing their team, while the rest of the team is out there sacrificing their bodies and getting down and dirty in the trenches.

If you are a kicker in the NFL you are getting paid a good sum of money to make kicks. It's your damn job.

I understand in college there aren't enough good kickers to go around. But this is the NFL, supposed to be the 32 best kickers in the world. So you have zero excuses to miss field goals.

I think once an NFL kicker misses 3 kicks he should be automatically released and out of the league for good. No excuses. It's your damn job. If you fail to do your job 3 times, you deserve to get fired. That's how it happens in the real world.

That is a painfully stupid suggestion.

And I'm not surprised, considering the source.

I wish TigerDroppings had a 3 strike rule, so we wouldn't have to read your terrible threads.

Great idea.

Let's also ban receivers who drop 3 passes.

Or running backs who fumble 3 times.

Or quarterbacks who throw 3 incompletions.

So anyone with 3 INTs needs to be cut also?

You're an idiot. Maybe Carson Palmer and Russell Wilson deserve to be fired for not leading any touchdown drives and instead depending on the kicker.

If you score TDs, you only have to worry about them missing one point.

Sean Payton and the entire Saints fanbase seems to think so. Impossible to have confidence as a kicker when you're in danger of getting cut for one fricking miss.

all i heard was wah wah wah

so a kicker that misses from 50-60 yards three times needs to be cut yet he makes everything else.

so 3 incompletions a qb needs to be cut

I live in Seattle

Every single person here at work is blaming the kicker. No one has blamed Russell Wilson or the offense

I will take it from the opinion of all Seahawks fans here that the kicker is 100% to blame. All the Seahawks fans are blaming him and no one else.

So every single person here at work doesn't understand the kicker isn't responsible for touchdowns?
