I posted this In saints talk but no one took me seriously for some reason.

I floated the trade of Zion Williamson and Michael Thomas for Deshaun Watson.

I think if the different leagues allowed cross sport trading it would really spice things up in the sports world.

But they're not related at all.

How can you justify a city like New York trading with a city like San Antonio? New York has like 8 teams while San Antonio has one.

The idea is nonsensical and you should stop parading it as if it were.

I could see where this could be a fun hypothetical game but to ask if it legitimately should be allowed is one of the most absurd ideas ever.

Sounds like a fun thought experiment though.

Couldn't even be a possibility unless one person owned all the teams in each city.

For this to even be remotely possible 1 owner would have to own all teams in a city (or a cluster of teams for city’s with multiple teams in 1 sport)
and all of the leagues would have to be under 1 umbrella of some sort.

Now coming up with cross league trades is a fun idea for shits and gigs but asking what you are is quite stupid.

It still comes off as something out of BASEketball, where inter-sport play became part of the gimmicks leagues used to try and retain fans.

They get the satisfaction of knowing they helped the team right next door, isn't that enough?
