Angel Reese made Clark the most hated woman in college basketball. Reese and LSU won the championship, and Reese took it upon herself to trash Clark in the waning moments of the game. There was a media uproar about whether or not the move by Reese was classless. Predictably, the media turned it into a white/black issue and if you criticized Reese at all you did so solely because of racism. Adding more fuel to the fire was the bozo first lady initially suggesting both teams should be invited to the white house (in the ever increasing effort to virtue signal)
For her part, Clark didn't complain. In fact, she defended Reese: “I don’t think Angel should be criticized at all,”. Doesn't matter. The media made it a white/black issue. So Clark's success/play gets diminished by (some) black commentators not because she's a bad player. But because they don't want to be seen as going against the "team" in what is a completely fabricated racial dispute.

I’d say it’s jealousy more than anything, she seems to a be a pretty well known name in women’s basketball and never got the coverage that Clark is getting in fact I don’t think there’s ever been this much love and attention to a women player. The thing is Clark is getting the general audience interested in women’s basketball which in turn will get more young girls interested in playing which will grow the sport. Shitting on Clark just comes off as sad and petty

I honestly think Swoopes is just an angry, hyper-critical nutcase who is difficult to please.
When she was HC at Loyola Chicago, she allegedly would have mental breakdowns and start crying during practice or halftime. She'd threaten to pull scholarships. She'd also leave in the middle of practice or team meetings and not come back. Nearly the entire team applied for transfers, and a handful of her staff quit, too. There's something off about her.

agree. It would have been a shame if that guy broke Pete's record with all the extra years. However, this looks like it's only Clark's 4th year of playing? I don't mind someone having a record in 4 years over 3 years, but the extra covid year on top of 4 is a bit too much for me.
Dude played 5 or 6 years with a 3 point line and still couldn’t break it.

Sounds exactly like a typical argument made by a liberal woman. Arguments completely devoid of rational facts. Other women should take note of this, but many won’t.

Definitely is an odd way of showing hatred for her going on cause everyone's constantly up her arse. She didn't even catch any flak for two hand shoving an opponent to the ground in a game earlier this year. This post was edited on 2/5/24 at 4:42 pm

I would say it's definitely race motivated a little. Swoopes should he cheering extra attention given to the women's game, if anything.
