Another HR for Grichuk, two run variety.

Kid is incredible, without that injured month+ would be looking at an NL ROY high probability.

I hope Gridchuk getting picked off at third doesn't come back and bite us in the arse

Been a great start to the 2nd half after the Pirates getting within reach.

Yea the Pirates struggles have been really confusing, I thought the shot of confidence we gave them right before the break was gonna give them the momentum to steamroll everybody in the second half

Granted they could still use the confidence to destroy us and they probably will but it's certainly been a better start to the second half for us than I expected

I know this is sort of like saying the sky is blue but I'd really feel more comfortable with a 3 run lead

I tend to think the Cardinals just needed some rest and to get back healthy. Not like the Pirates blew our doors off. We gifted them the last 2 games. There's a reason this team has had the best record in baseball for months. Even with the injuries and apparent holes, they didn't get to this point by luck.

Not bad.

Hell of an outing from Lackey once again, I'm about ready to give him that 2 year deal. Idk about 3 though.
