Pretty cool how both teams are honoring Mariano Rivera one year removed from the league. Legend

And Hazelbaker was drafted by the Dodgers a few years ago, they released him last summer and we scooped him up. He's 28 years old IIRC

I'm sure he's just a flash in the pan hot streak type of guy but he's just crushed the ball all spring and early this season forcing his way onto his first ever major league roster and into the lineup

He's got strong Bo Hart Hall of Fame potential

He was drafted by the Red Sox. Played in low A ball for a few years, hit like .240 combined, got traded to LAD, did just as bad for a few years, got cut, Cards signed him and here he is a year later.

Most likely just a flash in the pan hot start and at best a bench player if not at Memphis come July, but you never know.

Ya no doubt. He was pressing the first couple games htting clean up and Matheney recognized it and sat him down for Hazelbaker which in turn got him going and now Randall is swinging a hot bat and taking walks

It's so nice to see the offense play like this, seems like it hasn't been this productive this consistently in several years

It's ok, you all will add on a few in the next inning.

I really can't wait till the Reds pitchers all get healthy.

Another problem is that Tejada is supposedly getting close to getting healthy, where in the hell do we put him? Who can we send down?

The obvious answer to me is Gyroko but we can't do that bc of his versatility

And it's probably not an option contractually anyways
