How? Yes they are young but they will not be able to pay all of them! 2 more years at the most of them being that good on defense.

Zach Miller was the highest paid TE in the NFL this year and Sidney Rice was making a ridiculous amount too. They'll both be gone and that frees up a ton of space. The thing that has made Seattle good is talent evaluation and roster building. Sherman was a 5th round pick that didn't start until Walter Thurmond got hurt. Everyone thought that Browner was a big loss, then Maxwell (6th round pick) stepped in and leads the NFL in QB rating when the ball is thrown to the guy he is covering. The depth on the roster is insane.

Totally agree. Man that last drive was heart breaking in San Fran! We beat the Giants and Patriots already that season! Damn I hate that we missed out that year!

I think about this a lot. So frustrating.

Lol you people want someone to be melting! Yea I wanted to win but seriously it's not like we got upset. We had a chance to win that's all you can ask for playing the best team in te NFC. Y'all think your comments are so funny but in reality they are just ignorant! Add to the conversation or don't say anything! I'm sure you are just so funny on your little computer. Lmao frick outta here.

Zach Miller was making 6.8. They are looking at paying Russell Wilson at least cutler money. Earl Thomas will demand at least 8 million base pay. And Richard Sherman is going to demand Revis money which is 13 million base pay. They just paid Chancellor whose cap hit goes up next season. They paid Harvin a ton of money as well. Marshawn is under contract only 2 more seasons.

Any great team will run into this problem. That's the reason for a salary cap. It's a good problem to have IMO

The window pretty much just opened. And seeing as Seahawk fans have waited about 40 years to have a team this good (ok, they were real good in the mid-80s too), this is a pretty cool thing. The Seahawks are an old school team that plays old school defense.

I love it.

They definitely play defense like that 2004 rule change about being 5 yards downfield never happened.

Seattle isn't a lock to get to the SB this year.

The Saints could've won today had they not made crucial untimely derps that were self-inflicted.

Seattle the 1st half of this season > 2nd half Seattle. They peaked too soon this year, IMO.

Luckily for Seattle, Quest Field is a house of horrors for the Niners.

Long term - nothing is certain. Windows close and open in the NFL. Seattle should be good for a while if they keep drafting well and keep their veterans happy, but you never know.

The weak link for Seattle is their passing game. They win with defense and the running game.

If Andrew Luck was in Seattle, they would never lose a game.

Wilson is a great improviser - out of the pocket he is lethal. His intangibles are really good and throws a great downfield pass. But yeah, they aren't consistent enough on offense to grind out a lot drives in bad weather. The Saints flustered them today kept their deep passing at a bay.

And their DBs are really good, but how they don't get flagged for more holds and PIs is insane, IMO.

They just haven't been as good the last 6 weeks or so. The playoffs are all about the team peaking at the right time. The Niners are a hot team and could expel their Quest Field demons next week.

Their window is a lot bigger than the Saints' which is rapidly closing.

The Seahawks lose if they turn it over 3+ times today.

Right now, I think they have 8 years for it, possibly a decade if they're lucky.

Better to have a window that is closing than one that is closed, I guess. And i am a Saints fan.

Isn't this every team in every pro sport?
