I agree with you. I think Belichick was waiting for Carroll to blink first. i think they were baffled that the pats weren't conserving time with two TOs in their pocket

I'm guessing the odds of an INT, even if it were a batted ball/WR drop or deflection are wayyyyyy higher than if he threw a fade or if Wilson was put on the run in a roll out to either pass/run/throw it away situation.
