Recommendations welcome. Will be out there late Feb, would like to keep it under $200. I don't mind a challenge.

There are tons. Give me the dates you will be here and I'll find you some deals. They may be close to that because it's primetime for golf out here but we have so many damn courses there are always deals.

I live less than a mile from there and yes it's a great course but it's an even better hotel, there are better courses a short drive away. If you stay on that property I would never go more than 1/2 mile from it, everything you could ever dream of is right there. It's amazing.

Everything will be open every day. I'm fricking hammered from the Cards game but I'll check in tomorrow. Where are you staying? Scottsdale is a BIG place, it's 45 minutes from one end to the other.

I stayed there last April. Was very impressed. Went for a run/hike right out my front door. Beautiful place.

Scottsdale Plaza Resort...Distance isn't really a big deal though, I've got nothing to kill but time

Phoenician looks nice but a little short.

Your hotel is a little dated but still nice and you will still like it a lot because it's in a great area and it is only about 3 minutes from the Phoenician. You need to head a little north for great golf, about 15-20 minutes, because that's where Troon and the other great courses are. I'll see what places have what going on tomorrow. Also,
You are 5 minutes from a Top Golf which is always cool.

The terrain and small fairways make it fun and challenging, IMO. Factors I'm not normally used to. Don't hit a fairway, you're in the desert.

NP. Just google "Troon north golf" and then go to images to see the courses you can expect to play out here

Yup! It is all target golf out here, if you are off the fairway you are screwed.

I'd like to go out there this summer after I figure out what I'm buying.

Be nice to play and not be drenched with sweat after 18 in June.

Toughest thing about climbing Camelback is keeping your balance while looking at all the girls walking past

I've looked at a bunch, all look awesome, kind of wondering about that possible "hidden gem". Certainly looked at Troon North, Camelback, TPC, etc. I like the look of We-ko-pa

You don't get drenched out there. You sweat but it's so dry you never even know it.

First time I ever climbed it I helped a girl get down after being stung by a bee(jeez it was funny) and saw a lady taken down by on a stretcher after getting too dehydrated. Neither situation resulted in the sex
