Salary cap question: local sponsor contract under the table

What's to prevent a player from getting a lucrative local advertising contract as a back way of paying a player additional money above what the salary cap would allow?
As an example what if Paul Allen got Microsoft to sign a spokesman deal with Russell Wilson as long as he was a Seahawk. Anything against this?

You don't think anyone has thought of that before? It's against the rules.

It'd be pretty shocking if there's not a clause in the CBA saying you can't sign a promotional contract that requires you to stay with a specific team.
