Sean Payton is such a fricking mung - he has a vendetta against Saints fans and resents them always asking him "why don't you pick LSU players" and he just loves passing on them for the last 10 years now - often to his own detriment.

If Beckwith and Duke both work out, it will be crazy to see 4 big time NFL backers from LSU within that division playing the Saints every season.

Most of the Saints Talk board hates LSU because a few LSU fans go pro-LSU for EVERY LSU player.
I liked Lattimore over White. I didn't like Anzalone over Beckwith.
Beckwith might miss this year but I think he'll catch up to Anzalone in games played by the end of year #2.

I'm not crazy about the Anzalone pick whatsoever after studying his game and his years at Florida.
The only thing that sticks out is his measurable's--size, speed, strength, quickness.
They obviously went with potential with this pick hoping he stays healthy and learns under proper coaching.
What a high-risk/high-reward pick for a 3rd rounder. Beckwith is not who I wanted either. Riley was the dude. We were raped 3 times in the first 3 rounds.

Whenever one team picks a player that means every other team in the league passed on him as well. Why do the Saints get singled out by LSU fans and why do the Saints fans that also like LSU get butt hurt about it? There are plenty of LSU players I wish were on the Saints but most of them the Saints were not in position to draft. I really wanted Duke Riley in particular but he got taken one pick before the Saints could take him. It's tough but that's the way it goes.
