I think it would be a good fit for all parties.

Oklahoma in Texas or Oklahoma and Texas?

UT fits the profile of a Big Ten school and grabbing the two of them would meet Big Ten rules about adding contiguous states.

However, I believe both schools did a grant of rights to the Big 12 meaning they can’t bring TV rights with them.

I understand this for the big ten

But why in the hell would Oklahoma/Texas want to play half thier games in the Midwest?

I think it only takes 1/3 of the members leaving to blow up the Grant of Rights.

Rumor is that it would be mid 2020s.

They’ll try to gain more said value by adding both Big 12 powers OU and Texas. They’ll target the two schools for addition in 2024-25.

I do not see them "falling apart" I meant going full retard and adding two members just for the sake of adding members, could honestly see them going 2-3 years without getting into the CFP if it stands at 4 teams and them just adding two random schools out west to try anything, and pay them nothing for 3-4 years like Rutgers in the Big Ten is doing now.

dis a gree

OU and Texas are essentially unopposed media conglomerates right now. moving to the B1G might marginally increase their revenue, but not enough to replace the exposure they’d lose to Ohio state and Michigan.

IMO, the SEC becoming the first superconference by adding the pair is more likely

Same for OU. Joined at the hip to OK State by state politics.

clearly.

if anything, michigan and ohio state should make a pact with texas and oklahoma, hell even throw in notre dame.

sign a deal with amazon or google

theyd earn far more per team on a 5 team deal than getting cucked by leach schools like Rutgers on a 16 team package.

delaney is a clueless baby boomer with zero leverage IF ohio state/michigan realize their value

Higher profile games

You trade Ok State, K State, Kansas, Texas Tech, Baylor, WVU and TCU

for

Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State, Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan State

A Big Ten with Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas would be pretty awesome

Big Ten West with Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Iowa, Northwestern, Minnesota and Illinois would be pretty awesome.
