Have you seen Cutler recently? He can't even throw simple passes.
You're just being a tard. Cutler aint that bad top 10 in the NFL in Completion percentage and Tds

With Matt Forte, Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffrey, Martellus Bennett.
I'm sure he'd be really motivated to improve Tennessee's offense, with all of their weapons.

ow maybe you give him a better supporting cast and run game and that's something but that's almost any mediocre QB.
It's going to be pretty tough to upgrade from Marshall, Jeffery, Bennett, and Forte.

That line is absolutely dreadful though

Bennett wasn't impressive to start the season. Dude had drops and just couldn't get into a groove. Forte? He has been a one-trick pony this season. It hurts to say that, because I like him a lot.
Shitty pass blocking and no run blocking. Couple that with the worse defense in the league, and Cutler should be given a fricking medal and parade.

It's low risk, decent reward for the Titans. He's gonna cost nothing. If a change of scenery doesn't help him and he's terrible, who cares?
As long as Webster isn't dumb enough to give up much for him.....

I know, I know but Diddles is acting like he's the worst Qb in the league. He's been bad this year because of the turnovers and he's always thrown INTs but they've asked him to do too much this year. You cant have him throwing 38 passes a game. Trestman has refused to commit to the run this year and that's what has been a big part of their problems.

That's on Trestman and the O-line. He's not getting enough carries.

I'll give Cutler this... He's handled his recent interviews with professionalism.
Bench Cam Newton and see if he reacts like Cutler has.

Only problem with Mett sticking around as a backup is it could be a few years before he starts again. Cutler is only 30-31 I think, so relatively young. If he strikes hot with Tenn (likely won't happen) then Mett could be stuck on the bench.
Often a GOOD thing for young QBs.
Mett experienced QBing in the NFL, now he can sit and learn a bit and get healthy and mature.

My point exactly. People viewing this as a long-term move/solution need to pump the brakes.
Of course this is all assuming the Titans don't go full retard and spend a lot on this.

I think Mett needs a longer look. Cutler is not the answer. Trade that top 2 pick, and acquire draft picks.
Posted on 12/19/14 at 3:45 pm to sjmabry
Mett will definitely continue to be thought of as a guy who could end up being the franchise QB. I agree with the last part about the draft picks.

No, and I like mett. Cutler is underrated. Put him on Houston and they're contenders.
