The entire divorce process in this nation needs to be scrapped and started over asap.
There is a reason men are shying away from marriage. They see their friends get burned so bad in the divorce process.

He’s paying her 8% of his disposable income in child support. People would fricking kill to pay 8% of their disposable income in child support.

This is true. Also, did he try to fight for split custody? He doesn't work 4-5 months out of the year. I'm sure he could provide just as stable a home as her.
Lots of studies are showing that single fathers are better for kids, especially raising boys, than single mothers. But maybe he prefers her having primary custody. If so, I don't feel bad for him. It has to based on income and wealth somewhat..
