Doesn't anyone else think that this Rock thing is a swerve to take headlines away from Vince but will ultimately end up being Roman vs Cody?

PSA: If you don't like pro wrestling, this isn't for you

ETA: the damn HHH did it again.

I’m calling this as a work. We’ve been swerved. It’ll be Cody Roman at WM Sunday. Roman retains as “head of the table” Saturday wm night against the rock

The Rock/Roman stuff is ultimately a setup for either Summerslam or next years Wrestlemania

Gunther vs Rollins Saturday Night

Cody vs Roman Sunday Night

Fake choreographed wrasslin was kinda fun to watch through the 80's and 90's but it got old for me after watching it for 20 years.

Most of the dudes I know who are still gathering around the TV to watch wrasslin are between 20-45 and many are some candy arse soy boys.

it's really messy if it's a work. not sure why cody would tell roman he won't fight at wrestlemania. that's hard to come back from it they're working us.

i think wwe assumed everyone would be on board because it's the rock. they were wrong.

I doubt this was meant as a swerve away from Vince. Cody is more over than anyone in the company right now. It's who the fans want, so they didn't need a distraction.

If this really was meant to shift focus away headlines from Vince, WWE made a miscalculation, based on the backlash from fans.

Well it's been 'leaked' to the dirt sheets that everything, including The Rock being booed, is going exactly as planned. That's the narrative being pushed due to the storyline rejection by the fans. The plan is turn Cody into a mega babyface even though he's already the biggest face in the company. This all so stupid and reeks of someone who shouldn't have but did get their way.

Imagine watching any scripted show and judging wrestling for being scripted.

He really is the face of the company right now. Which is wild since you have 2 champs and 1 has been champ since summer of 2020.

Well then they keep Cody from answering Seth with McIntyre coming out and interrupting. It feels like cat and mouse.

If anyone other than Cody or Punk won, I don't think there would be as much pushback. But #WeWantCody

I'm assuming it is tied to the Rock getting the rights to his brand. I'm sure the WWE put into the agreement that he has to headline a Mania as a part of the deal.

How many times have you screamed your lungs out in public because an 18 year old kid didn’t throw a football correctly in front of 80,000 people?

I've thought the same thing.

This is best case scenario at this point. Original Hollywood Rock was egotistical after some minor success. Imagine 20 years later after becoming one of the biggest stars on the planet. Fans already see him as a heel to Cody, lean into it.

Also seems Punk is in Vegas, but is not advertised. Hmmm
