Houston gave up 103.1 points per game which is good for 8th worst in the NBA.
that stat is as relevant as wins for a starting pitcher.

Houston was 13th in Drtg, so roughly average.

Oh, so that's the level of thinking you are at...

I mention litmus tests all the time on here. Basically like you eluded to, using that stat is a pretty good litmus test.

Who cares where he goes...he's a hyped up ball hog and cares only about himself.

Didn't he leave the Nuggets b/c his wife had to be in New York for her acting career?

He would make that money up with a championship, especially in Chicago or Houston.

And the Nuggets received a massive number of assets.

Well in that case...

He left one of the best teams in the NBA for NYC

I think it is win/win situation for Melo & Knicks.

i agree. its not like a team can build around him to win a championship. he can be that scoring punch to that particular team missing that punch. chicago would be his best bet. of course they also would be counting on rose to play a majority of the season after missing 2 years worth of games.

What I don't get is Love to Boston. Golden State would make much more sense in my own personal opinion.

He vacations in Boston, so maybe he likes the city?

But I thought he wants to win...

I mean, Boston might be able to build a team around him, but Golden State already has a good team that he could make great.

No doubt. Melo, Love, and Rondo would be a mean big three too. A lot of C's fans want us to go after Parsons or Asik too.

They have a ridiculous amount of assets going forward with Danny Ainge running things. Rondo is still there. Plus they have a good young coach.

A team with Rondo and Love is going to win in the Eastern Conference.

We would have to give up most of those assets to get Love.

Both 2014 first rounders, 2015 first round, and 2016 first rounder. Then a few players to make the money work.
