Remember when BYU had great offenses

Credit where credit is due to the LSU defense but last night was shameful
LSU defense played good but you could have seen this coming when BYU fought tooth and nail to score 20 measley points on Portland State so it's not like BYU came into the game as an offensive juggernaut. And LSU will play worse opponents than BYU but at least those opponents will cross the 50
No playmakers at all. QB had no weapons. I expect similar results vs Utah and Wisconsin

I remember when Kershaw was good

Yeah, you knew it was going to be bad when they could only muster 20 points against FCS Portland State.

That QB missed some routine throws, he was rattled last night against a very young defense
Their Freshman TE is their best weapon and he's just a plodder

They have too many whites.

Watching them against Portland State, you know they were in deep trouble. A mediocre FCS program played press coverage on their receivers and shut down the vertical passing game.
BYU has no playmakers at the skill spots.

And the QB can't run.
Your QB has to be a runner in today's game.

I don't care how good LSU's defense might be...and who the frick knows after last night's game...
BYU scored about as much points against LSU as they did against Portland State.
But BYU used to be able to score on EVERYONE. The problem was they had no defense. But they could score.
Miami was the defending national champions and preseason #1 in 1990 and BYU beat them in Provo in week 1. Detmer completed 38-of-54 passes for 406 yards and three touchdowns...that didn't happen to Miami back then.
They also beat up Michigan, Penn State, UCLA over the years in just out-scoring them.
The program died when Norm Chow left.

And your point????????
Posted on 9/3/17 at 4:56 pm to dukke v
PSU running press against BYU and winning the matchup was the most disrespectful thing I've seen a FCS team do since App State beat Michigan

Thought that was pretty obvious.
BYU used to be able to score on anyone.
Now they can't score on anyone.

And their location and school mission isn't conducive to getting skill talent anyway

I do FCS math. Considering it was Portland State.
20 points against an FCS is the total equivalent of no points against an FBS P5 power.
