I am. We should hang. I play a bitchin' rendition of "The Saints Come Marching In" on my harmonica and ukulele.

And, to your point -- yeah, my reaction was a bit severe. I just don't like the "look how wrong they were" type of threads. Especially since we're talking about a guy who has been with the MLB club for only a month.

I'm thinking us faithful Astros fans were thinking very similar thoughts the we currently have of Springer for a certain JR Towles around mid-September of 2007? How far off were we of his future?

And this was meant to be in fun, but obviously you did not catch that. I know everyone who posted those remarks back then were Astro fans and being one myself it is fun to look back and see how wrong we were. Given the state the team was in with Uncle D and his band of merry idiots running the show I hold no blame to anyone for doubting any choice made by them.

yeah. i was a dick earlier. my bad.

Do you guys think Santana gets a call up this year? Or do they leave him at AAA all year to get more seasoning as he is still young for the level?

All this gs equal I take hitting over pitching everytime. The best hitters play longer and have longer primes than the beat pitchers...they also impact way more games over the course of their careers.

Would be nice if that happens then we could actually start and see the lineup that will make the Astros a player (playoff contender) again at the major league level soon.

Preston Tucker for DH!

This is the case for almost everyone at every level in the Astros organization. Enough can't be said how much talent each level is loaded, yet is also one of the youngest minor league system.

I think Singleton will get called up within the next 3 weeks. Unless there's an injury that opens a spot sooner -- Santana will be a September call-up.

No need to rush santana this year. Very young. Big power but big k rate. Plus we have robbie grossman.

I think September, but as this thread proves, none of us know jack shite....

other than they're waiting on Super 2 to call up Singleton.

I'm actually excited for the day Tucker wears an Astros uniform. I really think he could be pretty damn useful.

Tucker could be an ideal DH. He had decent power...gets on base and has hit lefties well.

Unfortunate username selection when I signed up while in college during an 8 AM course. Have attempted repeatedly to have this changed by admins to no avail.

No, I am no longer a resident of the 225. I now call home Texas.
