Question about NFL games being in London.

So for NFL teams, like the Dolphins this year, do they just lose the revenue of missing a home game? They only get 7 compared to the other 31 teams which will obviously put them into the bottom 3 of revenue this year of all teams regardless of the fact that Miami doesn't always fill up their stadium.

What im getting at is how does an Owner of the NFL profit off this "play a game in London" thing?

Im assuming there is an incentive of some sort. If there is, what is that incentive for a team that has to give 1/8 of their revenue?
