It’s only asterik(y) if your team sucks. 10-0 is no asterik. If you watched that game last night against BYU that is a legit top 20 team no matter the year.

You really think a school would turn down the chance to play in one of the marquee college football games to protest a system that isn't going to be changed, even if all of the G5 schools protested it?
The G5 protesting the College Football Playoff would be like you or me protesting a Brad Pitt party--we weren't invited, never will be invited, so no one there gives a shite.
