Pretty shitty that Wisconsin is stuck playing Western Michigan in their bowl.

Wisconsin has a very good team this year, and they deserve to be playing a P5 team in their bowl. Western Michigan beat two (awful) B1G teams and their going undefeated is something. They deserve their time in the spotlight. Don't want to take anything away from them, but honestly the Wisconsin players and fans deserved better than this.
I mean what does Wisconsin have to gain by playing WMU? If they blow them out by 50, well WMU a didn't play anybody and they are no good. It's expected. If it's a close game or if the Badgers players don't show up and get beat then it's just an embarrassing and terrible way to end what was otherwise a very good season. Just shitty all around.

Most all these games suck. OSU Clemson the only meaningful game I'm looking forward to.

If they didn't choke away the Big Ten title game to Ped State, they'd have nothing to worry about. No one to blame but themselves.

Yeah there are face value $150 tickets going for $6 on Stubhub right now. Western Michigan deserved a shot at a P5 team though so it had to be someone. This is the first time Wisconsin has played in the Cotton Bowl so I am a little surprised there isn't more buzz from their fans.

Years ago in the fiesta bowl I remember this little blue team from nowhere Idaho that played one of the best collegiate games I've ever watched on television against a powerhouse blue blood team.
Went down to the wire and that Cinderella came out on top. This will be a fantastic bowl game. WMU wants to be there question is Wiscy gonna show up with the same enthusiasm.

You have to give the G5 team a chance to prove their worth.

From the fan side, absolutely not.
Many Wisconsin fans truly do not care about the Cotton Bowl or the opponent.
Western Michigan very well could come out and beat Wisconsin, which will be damaging to the national perception on the side of the Badgers, but ticket sales have been absolutely abysmal. Many have fatigue after the secondary's choke-job in the B1G Championship + the number of meaningful games football and basketball have played since 2010.
Corey Davis versus Sojourn Shelton will be a good match-up. Davis is one of the receivers in the country and teams have hardly thrown Shelton's way all year.

I don't think Wisky has the hangover effect like other programs. Their team is made up of 3* guys not guys filling the rosters of FSU or Bama who when they are in a less attractive game play down
